Southbay is proud to announce that we have been awarded the RoSPA Presidents Award, recognising ten consecutive years of achieving RoSPA Gold Awards for health and safety performance.
This prestigious recognition, presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), celebrates organisations that demonstrates exceptional commitment to health and safety management systems, practices, and outcomes.
Over the past decade, Southbay has continuously upheld the highest standards of safety across all aspects of its operations. From site- based teams to office environments, safety remains central to our culture and a fundamental part of how we deliver our work.
Operations Director, Antony Ballantyne commented:
‘This is a massive achievement for the company and is testament to the hard work of our staff, who are constantly raising the bar across all aspects of health and safety, whilst working within challenging marine environments. The award demonstrates our commitment to ensuring health and safety remains our number one priority.’
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:
“Southbay Civil Engineering should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.
RoSPA regards Southbay as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.”
Sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, and receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for the health and safety industry.
As we celebrate this milestone, Southbay remains committed to ensuring that health and safety excellence continues to underpin every project we deliver.
