We have been awarded our 8th consecutive RoSPA Gold Award, which recognises the hard work and commitment of all of our employees in maintaining a standard of health and safety that we can all be proud of. As a business, this internationally recognised awards programme is a key benchmark upon which we measure our performance.
The success in achieving this award has only been possible through the continued involvement of our workforce in embracing new initiatives and challenging existing practices, creating a culture where health and safety is at the forefront in all that we do. Across the last 12 months we have continued to operate within some of the most challenging marine environments, including delivering works from a Jack Up barge off the North East Coast of England, and working within some of the UK’s busiest ports.
The RoSPA awards programme recognises commitment to continuous improvement in the prevention of accidents and ill health at work, looking at entrants’ health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Paul Stephenson, Managing Director, said: ‘This prestigious award recognises the continued effort of our employees in maintaining a health and safety culture of the highest order. Together with the support of our clients and delivery partners, we are committed to ensuring that health and safety remains the number one priority in all that we do.’
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievement Director, said: “We are thrilled that Southbay Civil Engineering Limited has won a RoSPA Award and would like to congratulate them on showing an unwavering commitment to keeping their employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
