This week, Southbay had the pleasure of visiting Year 10 GCSE Construction and Built Environment students to deliver a presentation about careers in civil engineering.
During the session, our team, Sophie, Martin, and Connor, introduced students to the range of roles available in the industry, from site engineering and project management to design and environmental sustainability. We also discussed the different pathways that can lead to a successful career in civil engineering, whether through university, apprenticeships, or hands on site experience.
To continue supporting the students’ learning, we donated two books about civil engineering to the school library, giving pupils the opportunity to explore the subject in more depth.
We’d like to thank the staff and students for their enthusiasm throughout the session.
